Minister of Environment and Land Transportation, Mr. Joel Morgan, has been unassumingly fronted as the SPPF new “poster child” on cleaning up the environment and imposing fixed penalties for trash, misuse of the roads which his Ministry is in charge.
On the face of it, it appears to us common Third Class Citizens, also known as “Real Seychellois”, that Minister Morgan has been given a mandate from State House to clean up the Country. When interviewed by Kevin Malbrook on SBC, the Reporter asked the Minister point blank without a fuss,” Are you trying to make us like a
With that, fix penalties strategy to clean up
The answer is simple. People of
The SPPF program for us is not about making our Country cleaner and making our roads safer. It is about raising more money. By issuing as many fix penalties as is humanly possible, the Government may stand a chance at replacing $ 4.5 Million Minister Morgan cannot account for in SPPF Government “Koff”, which was earmarked for the Ile Preservance Housing Project which should have been completed five (5) years ago.
The Minister was moved out of Ministry of Planning and Land Use, in order to move into Environment and Land Transport to recoup some money he must account for. This is SPPF punishing their front linesmen for mis-deeds. The Minister of course, gets to keep the big black leather chair twice his size which he disappears in on SBC which he may have used to negotiate the big $ 4.5 Million disappearance act with a construction company that cannot be sued, for Non Performance and Breach of Contract. After Minister Morgan is done with this job, he will be done. He can wear all the baseball caps in the world to please his master, speak softly if he likes, look sadden by everything around him, it will not change the writing on the wall...it will not be long before he gets a “Restructuring Letter”.
As the fixed penalties team formation lines up to face the Public, the Government is relying on them to bring money into the Government accounts to shore up more SPPF failure. Remember the Seychelles Communist Party Rule: “The People of Seychelles pay the price for SPPF failure”. For example, how many years has SMB and Seybrew put PET bottles out into the market for distribution without a Refund on the bottles. Had this Refund effort been implemented at the inception of these bottles being placed on market, we would not have to pay such exorbitant Refunds on them today. SPPF creates a condition of failure, we Seychellois pay the price for the failure. The easiest way to make money for Control Freaks is to impose penalties for anything right down to breathing too much and raise taxes. Watch them, there will be more.
I could not help but notice how Minister Morgan had become so aggressive when it comes to getting little Seychellois over a PET Bottle Refund, or a Spot Fine. But when we asked him about selling Land for 1 Rupee to this Sheik and that Sheik , he defended the sale and did not protect Seychellois interest first. He told us these men were “special”.He protected the foreigners at our dear expense. Shame on Minister Morgan. Today, he wants to pick on the little Seychellois, which his Government has not educated sufficiently for 30 years now, to know the value of a clean environment and the value of following road rules when they drive. You pick on little People for the big problems your Government policies cause, then you intend on making little Seychellois pay off the debts that result from these big problems.
Reminds me of the Private Butler of the Owner of the Titanic, who chose to flatter the his boss to the last moment the great ship sank, hoping to get a place on the lifesaver boats as a result of his contacts. In the end, the boss/owner jumped into a lifesaver boat, saved his own life, and just waved his Private Butler on to his cold water death.
Shame, Shame, more Shame. People of
Seychellois, it is in our own interest to keep Seychelles clean. Do not wait for some spot fine slave with a Rupee 200.00 spot fine to show up at your door and tell you to clean your home, when their home is probably worse off. Just clean - up
You Officers who have been given a directive to spot fine people for a living, treat your fellow Seychellois with kindness and educate him as to what is right. Succeed where SPPF has failed. Take time, explain to them how cleanliness is important to our Health and Public Safety, where SPPF has failed, succeed, do not just go spot fine someone who does not have enough money to buy milk for an infant, or enough money to keep a family going. Rupees 200.00 can do a lot for a family if spent well. It can feed a family for 2 days, today. Without 200.00, a family can be without food for 2 days in SPPF Seychelles, to please Minister Morgan and help him meet his $ 4.5 Million quota replacement effort.
If SPPF were serious about cleaning up Seychelles, they would take necessary steps to curb alcohol consumption in Tumbola’s and consumption of Lapire and Baka. Today, any hour of the day, anyone can get a bottle of Lapire or Baka for Rupees 10.00 and spend the day trashing themselves. This goes well into the night. As a person trashes himself, he trashes society and his surroundings. Why does not Minister Morgan put an end to Lapire and Baka establishments in our environment. Perhaps because it is his drink of choice? So long as these establishments are not shut down once and for all, our environment will never be cleaned up. Nor will our Human Resource crisis ever be dealt with in a serious manner. Nor will our Health and Welfare system be sustainable. SPPF fails us in order that it may succeed, since it relies on stoned Baka zombies for support, toss in a few blind people, who think that Religion and Political Parties are the same thing. The truth is: Close down Lapire and Baka outposts, you close down SPPF!
No other political party is more directly responsible for polluted debris litter in town then SPPF. Today, they want us to impose fixed penalties. Fix Penalties never work where the issuers are drunks or drug users themselves. They turn the issuing process into a business venture, to support their habits. I cannot count how many times a Police Officer has offered me a parking ticket for 200.00 or give him 25.00 as an alternate cheaper measure. Are these People in SPPF for Real, do we live in the same Country? Yes we do. But some leaders minds do not work too well. So People of Seychelles, speak to your SPPF friends, tell them nicely, when we vote for the wrong person, we pay the price for his mental short wires and burst mental fuses. At minimum, in the next Election, ask them if they insist on remaining Communists and choose a bowl of lentils over Freedom and your birth right of prosperity like Essau Jacobs brother did in the Old Testament Genesis Ch 25 Verse 27-33, to at the very least vote for someone who can do three things: 1. Read 2. Write, 3. Count.
Remind your SPPF friends that Voting and Lapire Don’t Mix...Together They Are A Deadly Brew For Our Future!
May God Bless All Freedom Loving Seychellois!
