UN DAY OF PEACE IN SEYCHELLES

In 2001 the United Nations declared 21st September as an international day for peace and human security in the whole world. For sometime concerns have been expressed with regard to several issues or factors that can contribute to conflicts or affect human security in our beautiful islands.

To commemorate the UN Peace Day in 2007, Centre For Rights & Development (CEFRAD), with the support of other organizations or institutions, is organizing two citizens dialogue sessions on ways to avoid conflicting situations in Seychelles. First session will take place at the National Theatre, Mont Fleuri, Friday 21st September; second session in the Anglican church hall at Grand Anse Praslin Friday 28th September.

Both sessions to start at 5.00 p.m, all citizens are most welcome to share views on the necessity to give peace and human security a real chance in Seychelles.
