Was Assistant Commissioner Valmont pushed or did he jump?
This is the question coming from the community at large. Le Nouveau Seychelles Weekly can confirm that former Assistant Police Commissioner Andre Valmont jumped. He decided that 45yrs of service have earned him a well deserve break having turned 63 on September 17, this year. During his interview televised on SBC last week after a meeting with President Michel at State House, the former Assistant Commissioner gave us a hint that the Police Force needs to get its house in order if they want to earn the respect of the general public. He spoke about respecting the rights of the citizens, “human rights”, he said, is an area where improvement is needed. This was omitted from the article in the Seychelles Nation reporting on the story last week, shame on them, these lots at the SN.
They are masquerading the truth from their readers, at least APC Andre Valmont had the courage to speak out, in doing so he has helped everyone, the victims, the Police Force and society. The Seychelles Nation is a great disappointment and a disgrace onto itself. We at Le Nouveau Seychelles Weekly salute you Mr. Andre Valmont; you are a man of courage. We wish you well and a happy retirement. Thank You for 45 years of dedicated service to our people and country. Seychelles is proud of you Sir!
