James Michel’s “Act of Contrition”

The last waltz - Rene and Michele hugging!

The last waltz

As he finally feels the tightening of the noose (that Albert Rene ceremoniously laid around his neck on the lawns of State House one bright afternoon), James Michel is preparing to repent for the shortcomings and failings of the communist experimentation of more than 30 years. He is flabbergasted that he has been sacrificed to shoulder the full brunt of the onslaught of an economy that is imploding; with shrapnel flying around and inflicting nasty blisters on the whole population…

After squandering valuable billions and keeping an eye over the war chest at the ministry of finance, Albert decides that he has found his man! The man ready to take the brakeless ‘catiapo’ that has lost all its faculties and heading for the cliff loaded with crash-test dummies! “It is only now that I realize the s..t I am in” he ponders… He is now cornered, the hapless victim of a mentor who taught him all the tricks to tap into his wizardry ‘Harry Potter’ style. Unfortunately, even that sequel had to come to an end!

Dear Father, please accept my ‘Act of Contrition’ as my genuine contribution to try and save this country… I need help, for I have sinned…!
