THE NUMBER of travel agencies in Victoria keep increasing to meet higher demands and expectations by travelers.
The newest to open its doors is “Vision Voyages" on the upper floor of Sound & Vision House, at Francis Rachel Street. It will move to premises presently occupied by Habib Bank, as soon as this is vacated.
Its owner/ manager, Mr. Shirish Dhanjee endeavours to offer more choice to discerning travelers, with emphasis on better value. He views it as a one-stop shop, as it will handle worldwide bookings, hotel accommodation and wherever possible even plan sight-seeing and visa requirements for the destinations involved.
For the launch, there was a special promotion for Thailand, where Seychellois passport-holders can pay for airline tickets- Air Seychelles- accommodation, visas and even sight-seeing excursions in rupees. “Everything is laid down to suit everyone's pockets," Mr. Dhanjee said.
Besides the airline tickets, non- Seychellois will be required to pay in foreign currency for the extras. But all ticket holders will all take part in a raffle to be drawn on September 1, and stand a chance of taking one of four prizes, all Sony products, will be given away. These are 2 Sony digital cameras, 1 Sony 14 inch TV and 1 Sony clock radio.
Mr. Dhanjee is also targeting Egypt (with Nile cruise option) and Nepal (with hiking option), two cultural destinations, he says where all-inclusive itineraries can be worked out according to clients' needs. They are also easily accessible with connections either via Doha, UAE or Nairobi and visas are obtainable on arrival.
