THE Rotary Club of Victoria will be hosting its annual fishing tournament on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th April 2008, with the prize-giving BBQ to be held on Sunday 13th April: Note that all funds raised this year will go towards the Hospice Building Project at North-East Point; a worthwhile cause indeed for our community.
For this prestigious and exciting tournament, the Rotary Club of Victoria is inviting your company to become a major sponsor. This national event is very popular and well known around the island and has the full support of the Government. The event is also sanctioned by the worldwide game-fishing authority, International Game Fishing Association (IGFA) and therefore opened to both local and international anglers. This event has been held for over 20 years and will definitely attract all local boat owners and fishing teams.
As you may already be aware, the competition is open to both trolling and the traditional bottom fishing methods. This year, there are 25 individual fish prizes plus 6 special prize categories that are open for sponsorship:

A sponsorship package will include banner sites at the Marine Charter (departure and weigh-in) and the prize-giving venues, logo spots on all advertising medium (radio, TV, newspapers, posters), and we welcome sponsors who wish to discuss additional branding opportunities with the organizing committee. Sponsors will also be invited to the prize-giving barbecue ceremony on Sunday 13th April to hand out their respective prizes.
I trust that your company will take advantage of this great marketing and philanthropic opportunity and please feel free to call me on 513532 should you require additional information. I thank you in advance for your sponsorship and would kindly ask you to make out your cheques to “Rotary Club of Victoria” and to forward the same to my office at VCS (Le Chantier) no later than Friday 7th March.
