Another failed promise by President Michel

During a Presidential address last year, Mr. James Alix Michel stated that SPPF government will be setting up a new program for all teachers.  Part of that program involved equipping all teachers with Inspiron Dell laptops, ordered through the company of a friend of course, in order to better facilitate their work.  But this has been another false promise as some teachers have not received theirs yet and they are still waiting.  They were hoping that maybe Father Christmas was going to knock on their door on the 25th December, 2007, but this did not happen. As Bob Marley said the teachers ‘Don’t want to wait in vain’, how long more would they have to wait? That is the question.

And when will the Ministry of Education see to it that this objective is attained?  This is what Mrs. Simeon and her team always pursues teachers to do “ATTAIN THEIR OBJECTIVES.”  It is hard time the Ministry of Education practice what they preach.  Now that the Ministry of Education wants all documents to be word-processed, please give all teachers what they have been promised and richly deserves their laptops.  Be it academic, vocational, supply teachers or subject co-coordinators because they are all members of the teacher’s scheme of service 2006.

Teaching is very demanding and our society depends a lot on teachers to educate future generations. The SPPF should know better and must stop messing around with morals!
