Francis Chang-Leng disappeared into thin air and nowhere to be found!

The Governor of the Central Bank of Seychelles disappeared last week just like the great Houdini and he was nowhere to be seen. According to sources close to him at the Central Bank - He was on a secret mission to India to meet with the heads of the State Bank of Baroda. Chang-Leng apparently left Seychelles two Sundays ago on a flight bound for Dubai, where he transited for a day before boarding flight number EK500 departing at 22.30 hours from Dubai to Mumbai in India. Chang-Leng had apparently scheduled a meeting with the General Manager International Operation. Mr. R.K. Garg of the bank...

This paper became suspicious last week when we called his office and his secretary told us that Mr. Cheng-Leng was not in the country. However, she refused to tell us where he was and for what purpose he was out of the country. We were advised to call his assistant. We then rang the office of his assistant, one Miss Morel. Her secretary answered the telephone, she had already had prior warning that we were about to call. “Miss Morel is in a meeting”, the secretary told us, “we will get back to you”, she said. She never did. This aroused our curiosity and we got investigating.

Our investigation led us to India, Mumbai, to the Bank of Baroda where Francis Chang-Leng was in a meeting with Mr. Garg. We managed to obtain the telephone numbers  (56985464/56985472) from the local bank. We called India and someone who said that she works in the office of a Mister V. Thattedam confirmed that Francis Chang-Leng was there in a meeting with bank officials. We also managed to find out exactly why Chang-Leng was in Mumbai and what he was doing there. We can now reveal that he was not on official business. This saga will be unraveled here soon between the pages of this newspaper in future editions. Watch this space!
