Give to Seychellois, what belongs to Seychellois

One of the basic tenets of the SPUP/SPPF socialist revolution has been abused by the party heavy weights: This is that of the ownership of state-land.  During its years in power the SPUP/SPPF have abused this tenet, and later under the guise of promoting democracy state-land has been given to individuals for a pittance: one rupee.

These individuals have then gone on to make millions in onward leases or sales to overseas companies.  All this has been done at the expense of the local Seychellois citizens and the country’s coffers both in drastic need of the precious foreign exchange.

President James Michel speaks of Responsibility, Accountability, Transparency and Good Governance.  Those in the Seychelles National Assembly have also recently in the last assembly sittings accepted that the law requesting “Declaration of Assets” be given legal adjudication.  Le Nouveau Seychelles Weekly awaits the current assembly sitting to see whether the assembly can say “Judge me by my actions” and give us what belongs to us.
