Is SENPA Worth The Money?

The Government has invested a lot of money, millions, into this organization over the years. It is now time to look into the dealings of SENPA in order to identify if it is money well invested or whether certain people employed by the organization are doing justice to this institution. We visited the last trade fair organized for the Christmas period this year; we took pictures and spoke to the traders in order to get their views on the assistance being provided to them by SENPA. A few were satisfied, but most were disappointed that certain officials were not forthcoming when approached for help or advice. Some are of the opinion that they are being used to make SENPA look good, but getting nothing in return. We discovered that for ourselves when we contacted Mr. Kevin Samson for a short interview or report on the organization’s achievement for the year. The gentleman refused point blank to assist us. He said that Mrs. Berlouis was out of the country and there was nothing that he could do for us. These are the kind of attitudes that will get us nowhere. Our artisans and small businesses deserve better if they are to progress in a manner that will help contribute in the growth of the local economy.
