As usual Troukler can see what others don’t! The elections that the SPPF wanted a larger majority has been and gone. They wanted this majority to change the constitution without needing any support from the opposition. They did not get the majority they needed at the last election but, they are still forcing through changes to the constitution without paying any attention to the mistakes they are making whilst at the same time burying the future of
There is a new threat at PUC. This is the product of the old saying that: “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop”. Recent appointments there have meant that people have been given jobs without much to do or again they have been given jobs they do not know how to do. This is typical of this Government, which is always putting the cart before the horse. Anyway, these people to justify their presence in the company say they have intelligence that a bombing sabotage of the PUC was to take place. Who gave them the intelligence? what proof do they have of this intelligence? What investigations have taken place to confirm the validity of this intelligence? What sort of a bomb is it? SPTC on Praslin has made a number of changes to its service. This comes about as a result of a management review over the last couple of months. The number of administration errors and inconsistencies that come to light as a result of this review leaves many in the company shocked. But then the only way to get something done at the end is to get the right person in the right job – not look at the flags they wave whenever you pass! It may be a hard lesson but, the principle apply’s all across government “Ek nou, pak ek nou” will never yield sustainable results especially when you are trying to perform a public service. Troukler says that the President should approach SPTC, especially the Praslin section, to learn something on running things properly.
Troukler asks President James Alix Michel where does the Millennium Development Goals fit into the Seychelles Strategy 2017? It seems that by carrying-on about Strategy 2017, President James Alix Michel hopes he can talk the world into abandoning the Millennium Development Goals. Troukler says “You can fool all of the people sometime, you can fool some of the people all the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all the time”. Meanwhile the game of musical chairs continues in Government whilst the deadlines for the Millennium Development Goals draw closer and closer.
