The movement is on the march!

Mesaz in dan ban sanson

SPPF beware…the grassroots movement is being spearheaded by a ‘lazenes determinen’ spreading the positive message that change is on the horizon. They are doing this through the very creative medium of music. The local music scene has known an interesting evolution over the last few years. While the old red party clings on to the old boys such as good old Despilly to spread their message of ‘tenir pa large’, there are some young local talented artists singing about reality and the hardships & sufferings of today. These guys not only have the guts to keep the freedom torch burning but they are damn good at what they do. Several of these outfits are mushrooming all over the country. The latest to hit the scene is an act that tours the discos and fills the dancehalls with their vibes. Touching on issues that are relative to our sufferings in this day and age of economic collapse, these guys are sending a message home. With interesting stage names such as ‘Mersener’, ‘Maddy’, ‘Extra Big, ‘Red Eye, ‘Marcus Eye’, ‘Soul Jah ’-  the ‘Pous sa Dife’ movement is on the march…’lo baz’! The main themes revolve around ‘la realite lavi’, sending a clear message that SPPF will not be allowed to play around anymore with this people’s weaknesses – ‘noun fatige, noun ganny ase’! ’La faya!’ ‘Brile, brile, brile’…

A catchy reggae melody that surely makes one get-up and dance! Almost at the tempo of a sexy Craig David number, this song is the number one track that is getting our ‘lazenes’ to feel the vibes! No wonder these guys are running sold out shows across the country. They are also very popular on Praslin where Pous sa Dife has taken root. These boys are on fire!
