SPPF WOMEN, WE LOVE YOU!
Men who normally sympathize with the opposition have flooded our phone line this week with messages of sympathy for all SPPF women. Apparently, The People claimed last week that the opposition has an aversion to women, especially SPPF women. Marie-Antoinette Rose, the People’s Editor, even compared us to the Taliban in Afghanistan and claim that women in the opposition were under-represented in the National Assembly. She even accused Mr. Frank Elizabeth, opposition Member of Parliament, of being a “chauvinist” and has a habit of not treating women in general properly.
This paper is not privy to the treatment which Elizabeth may have secretly given to Rose to lead her to this controversial conclusion, but people who knows Mr. Elizabeth has commented that he is polite, charming and easy to talk to. This paper also wants to assure all SPPF women that we admire and respect them as many of you are our mothers and sisters, even if we do not share the same political belief. We will, therefore, refute any attempt by The People to give the false impression that we, in the opposition, have an inherent dislike of everything women although we do plead guilty as charged of being against everything inherently SPPF! In this respect, we will not take advantage of the plea bargain provision in the Criminal Procedure Code recently presented by Vice President Belmont before the National Assembly and which is now law, and enter into a plea bargain agreement with the SPPF. We will definitely plead guilty and expect nothing less than the maximum custodial sentence.
We certainly do admire the SPPF women for their unrivalled devotion and loyalty to their party and leaders. The SPPF women are most definitely a unique breed of women and we have enjoyed seeing them being paraded in the streets of Victoria, immediately before the elections in their red garb covered from head to toe. We look forward to elections time when they will all swallow their pride and forego their female dignity, coming out in droves and at the same time, answering the call of their “Great Leader” to show their political might and much more. We, therefore, must admit that we do take great pride in our SPPF women, for without them there would be no SPPF and life without SPPF is not even worth contemplating. So, to the SPPF women we say may you live for many many years to come and continue with your never-ending struggles to feed your family, work hard for minimum wage, pay your bills, look after your children and generally complain about how hard life has become under the SPPF. At the same time, your SPPF leaders continue to enjoy the trappings of wealth, fame and fortune begotten because of your hard work and unwavering commitment to your party and your “Great Leader”. How can we not love our SPPF women? Shame on you People for suggesting otherwise!
