Le Nouveau Seychelles Weekly is working hand-in-hand with President Michel in tackling environment issues in the country. After publishing the pictures of a broken “septic tank” in the middle of Victoria that lay un-repaired for weeks, the very next day after the publication of the story in our newspaper, Issue 21, June 22, 2007, workmen were hard at work repairing the ruptured tank and drainage system which was releasing contaminated water and human waste into the river running between Gordon Square and the Development Bank building. We are happy to report that the tank and pipes are now repaired and the problem completely sorted. Our pictures depicts the before and after photographs.
