The minimum number of subject entries per student was eight, but most students sat for more than eight subjects. There were altogether 455 subjects entries, a substantial rise from last year (410), meaning that more students opted for more than five optional subjects.
The total number of students who sat for the examinations was 48 compared to 46 in 2006. Of these, 41 students obtained at least five credits or above (85.5%), compared to 37 in the preceding year (80.4%). 13 students scored at least 5 “A” or “A” grades. Haajira Jumaye was the top student overall with 6 “A” grades and 4 “A” grades. Laura Gayon came second with 5 “A” grades and 5 “A” grades. The top student among the boys was Danny Marie with 6 “A” grades, and 3 “A” grades, he was also third overall.
Another point worth noting is that in 2nd Language English, Geography and French there have been a 100% of credits or distinctions. 93.8% of English Literature and 91.7% of Mathematics grades were credits or distinctions.
