CONFIRMATION THAT SPPF HAS REALLY LOST ITS MARBLES
Sir,
One cannot but comment on the incredible dribble that is written in the SPPF rag bag every week. This week in “Pye Bodanmyen” they make the most incredibly stupid (even by their standards) comments against Mr. George Bibi, because he may it seems have been walking along the pavement near Maison du Peuple waiting for a lift home, at the same time that the SPPF Congress was in progress. Is this not a free country and are the pavements not there for everybody’s use? Are we all expected, in ever increasing numbers, to avoid passing any area where the ever diminishing group of loutish SPPF supporters gather?
It is interesting to make note of how quickly the SPPF used the Ministry of Local government resources (our money), to repair a fence at Anse Aux Pins so they could have their rally. This must have been a record for local government administration in

ACCESS TO BEACHES
Sir,
Allow me these few words to commend the “Seychelles Weekly”, for publishing a well reasoned article on the question of public access to beaches, where they traverse through neighbouring properties.
I wish however to make reference to the scant comment in reply, by the SPPF government on this question in the People. The SPPF People publication, indicates that the issue of access has been “beaten to death” and yet the SPPF publications and media have FAILED at every instance, to defend the rights of Seychellois, to traverse properties they have sold to foreigners, in order to ENSURE OUR access to our beaches.
The issue is of vital importance to every Seychellois and the fact that it was raised by many in the so-called “community consultations” in the districts with James Michel, is proof of the seriousness and concern of the issue to the Seychellois community and the fact that the SPPF and Mr. Michel have to date FAILED to stand up proudly for our rights as citizens, is itself a very clear indication of what little respect he (including the SPPF and the SPPF MNA’s), have for defending our rights. As voters we should bear this in mind when we cast that important vote. WE SHOULD VOTE TO DEFEND OUR RIGHTS

WHY PAY WHEN THEY CAN EXERCISE INFLUENCE OVER THE ADMINISTRATION:
Sir,
The news is now official that this Government has gone back on an election promise made just before the last parliamentary election of 2002.
There will be no new clinic or mini hospital for the people of Beau Vallon and Bel Ombre. The old Beau Vallon clinic built over thirty years ago is to be refurbished. The existing clinic is in a bad place considering its proximity to the main road now that traffic has increased on our roads. It has grown too small for the growing population of the districts it serves. This is a big sacrifice the people of Beau Vallon and Bel Ombre have to make to provide the drainage system, now under construction in front of the proposed site for the promised clinic. The drainage system is being built to prevent permanent flooding on the plot of land between Fisherman’s Cove Hotel and Berjaya Hotel demarcated by its owners for a tourism development project.
The hotel project intended for this area will benefit enormously from the new drainage system - all paid for by the taxpayers. The developers will have it for free at our expense. This is what we mean by robbing Peter to give to Paul. The people in government are looking after their friends, again! It is time for Michel to reveal the real identity of the people his government transferred the plot in question to. Can we expect an answer before the election?

SPPF AND QUALITY HEALTH CARE
Sir,
One of the constant cries of the SPPF government is that they provide quality (sic), health care to all in need. Only thing is that we each in our own way have experienced the unfortunate reality of shoddy health care services provided in
The Minister should spend some time to talk to the poor unfortunate old lady at Anse Boileau. She damaged her arm lifting a heavy pan whilst cooking. In a matter of hours her arm had swollen. She visited the local clinic only to be told that she has chikungunya affecting her arm. She was given a packet of Panadol (everybody gets this).
The condition of the arm and the severity of pain worsened. Again more Panadol. Several weeks later the arm and fingers cannot move and the swelling is spreading. Again more Panadol.
The Lady decides she’s had enough and demands that the hand and arm undergo an x-ray. A trip to
The arm gets progressively worse. She informs another Doctor in the clinic that it can’t be chikungunya as her other arm is fine and she has none of the symptoms of chikungunya. She urges the doctor not to rely on what was said at
Another week of delay and subsequent severe pain and the x-rays arrive at Anse Bioleau. The doctor checks the x-rays and immediately diagnoses severe inflammation caused by trauma to the arm and torn ligaments. What a “living hell” this aged woman was put through in order to receive the basics of a semblance of health care.
Any wonder the faithful are leaving the SPPF in droves.

INTERNATIONAL ALL STARS OF MUSIC WORLD
Sir,
Words are a poor way to describe the music! Last Tuesday night, in the Val Mer Room at the Plantation Club, the res ults of years and years of studying and performing, were displayed by 12 STARS, some of the most brilliant people ever to visit the SEYCHELLES ,much less share their joy and fineness and sheer magnificence as a group and as individuals.
It is unfair to name one person over another, each has their own part of the sky in which to shine...but if you have never sat in the same space with the vibrations from pure violins, cellos, violas, clarinets, flutes and a harp, you heard me, A FULL HARP, bigger than a piano..THIS, my dearest Seychellois, is the chance of a lifetime. Thursday night, and Friday night are continued performances at the
Please, Please, do not be afraid to stand up and CHEER at the END.. believe me, THEY DESERVE IT!.
Let them know that we appreciate them and that we deserve more of the same. Thank you Brothers Sabadin!
