The Rising Sun newspaper has brought reality home to us again in another article in their issue dated Tuesday July 29, 2008, that the potential of an Indian take-over of this country is very real. On its front page it featured hundreds of Indian nationals working in Seychelles protesting illegally against a meeting organized by a group of Seychellois nationals. Apparently the protesters were a hired crowd from a construction site in the vicinity of the Wharf Hotel. This newspaper has been reliably informed that later in the evening a party ensued at the construction site, alcohol and “tyapati” flowed generously to their heart content – provided for by a prominent businessman of Indian origin. Many, including this newspaper, are taking this latest development very seriously indeed. It is estimated that there are easily in excess of ten thousand Indian workers currently in the country. It is becoming increasingly clear that they can take over the country and there is nothing the police or even the armed forces could do to stop them. Our local forces will simply be out numbered. This newspaper is very concern about this situation and we will be launching a campaign soon to sensitise the people against the dangers of such unprecedented manoeures.
Everything being imported into the country by Seychellois of Indian origin and construction firms under Indian management must be subjected with the utmost scrutiny just in case arms are being imported for a possible coup d’etat. This is not scaremongering, it is real and you better believe it before it is too late. There are certain elements, albeit few, within the Indian community who are ambitious enough to try. We know who they are; they have already expressed their desire to rule over our beloved Seychelles in their instrument of publicity and propaganda. Over the last few years they have been stock piling their wealth in the form of big businesses, they never seem to have enough. They have money and the natural progression would certainly be political power. They will most probably short-cut their way to State House just like the SPUP did in 1977.
There is now good reasons for the natives to be concerned, things that we thought would never happen like the tsunami happened in 2004. We had a Seychellois of Indian origin appointed as Ambassador at Large recently. His appointment too was bitterly protested over by The Rising Sun. In actual fact since its inception, the people behind The Rising Sun newspaper have never CEASED to target people it judged to be in its way to achieving total control over people and country. Now it seems that the new targets are Mr. V.J Patel, Mr. TMKRK Ramakrishnan Pillay (RAMU), Mr. S. Rajasundaram, Mr. TMahalingam Pillay, Mr. Sunil Dhanjee, Dr N. Velmurugan Chetty and Mr. Narendra Raggvani. These people are hard working respectable members of society. Most of them have been in this country well before those hiding behind the Editor of The Rising Sun - nobody we spoke to can understand the cause behind their vilification by The Rising Sun.
We are therefore appealing to President Michel to tackle this situation before it gets out of hand. The Police must investigate to find out and charge whoever was responsible for the illegal assembly, which took place at the International School on Sunday 27 July. On the 3rd October 2007 SNP supporters and MNAs were violently attacked and assaulted for a similar gathering. How can you tolerate this state of affairs Mr. President? Mr. President you have been mandated by the people of this country to safeguard our security and sovereignty – we are counting on you and are totally behind you on that one. Please look into this matter before it reaches the point of no return. Please we beg you Mr. President save us from Ramaduck.
Note: The word ‘Ramaduck’ is a new word coined by this publication, it signifies “being taken over”.
