We must all be alert and vigilant

On the afternoon of the 29th July 2008 our website was hacked.  Not the first time or attempt.  At this time the site has been ‘recaptured’ and has been locked off from public viewing.  We are using this opportunity to conduct certain upgrades on the one hand and improvements on the other and will be releasing a much improved website so that all Seychellois no matter your affiliation can access.

To date FDS has registered over 7000 patriots.  We are certain that with our new and improved site, more patriots everywhere will make themselves known!

For some democracy is a game.  Take for example the questions asked recently towards and during the CPA sessions.  In private certain members of the assembly made their point quite clear.  No way would they allow members of any opposition to be in the position to lead this country.  “They are not serious was one comment”.  In response one member made it clear that in a democracy, like a tide, changes will occur and politicians will come and go!

Democracy is all about change and growth - this is despite certain prejudices which certain politicians today in Seychelles carry.

They may try to hack our site again but our voice; your voice will not be silenced.

Instead of attacking sites such as ours, perhaps those in positions of responsibility can instead get on with their jobs and serve the people correctly!  Two members of the SHTA and SCCI recently visited the President at State House to discuss many matters of importance.  One among many was growing crime against tourists to our islands.  A very serious threat indeed.  Today while we all go about our lives minding our own business another innocent visitor to our shores was attacked recently and injured by a robber carrying a knife.  This according to reports happened on or near Anse Parnel.

These are indeed trying times and in trying times we must all be alert and vigilant.
