PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON IN PARADISE

Prince WIlliam and Kate Middleton

Prince William, 24, and sweetheart Kate Middleton, 25, had exclusive access to Desroches Island all to themselves for a week the week before last.

Desroches is described as the most romantic island in the world. And people close to the couple were saying that the palm-fringed sandy beaches on the Indian Ocean island would have provided an irresistible setting for the Prince to propose.

According to a British tabloid The Sun newspaper: “William was desperate to spend some quality time alone with Kate. The island is perfect as it is so private.”

“Normally it is full of honeymooning couples. But for them, the entire resort was booked.”

William flew to the Seychelles through Mahe to Desroches on Wednesday 15th August.

Kate travelled a day earlier. They took separate flights to Desroches.

They spent the whole week that followed together enjoying swimming, snorkelling and bike rides through the lush island.

An online advert for the resort on Desroches reads: “There exist on Earth few places that can truly be described as paradise. Imagine a small Island, 6km long and 1km wide, acres of shady coconut palms fringed by 14km of white sandy beaches, lapped by crystal clear turquoise waters sheltered by the encircling reef. That paradise is Desroches Island.”

The 20 guest suites on the island cost around £500 a night and the resort has been a magnet for rich couples since opening in 1990.

Past visitors have included Richard Branson and Tony Blair and their families.

The People newspaper in a fabricated  article under the heading ‘Ralph Volcere and the paparazzi’ -  last week accused the Editor of ‘Le Nouveau Seychelles Weeklyof sending a group of paparazzi to Desroches while Prince William and his girlfriend were there. This is totally false and malicious. The matter is in the hands of his lawyers. Another case for Mr. France Bonte to defend.
