MANCHAM ON U.S. LECTURE CIRCUIT

Former President Mancham on lecture circuit in the USA.

It is announced from Glacis-sur-Mer that Former President James R. Mancham has accepted to give a series of lectures in the USA during the coming summer and autumn weeks 2007.

The lecture series will start in the State of Utah – the home State of Former U.S. Ambassador to Seychelles, Mr John Price, who has coordinated the program for two days of talks in Salt Lake City.

On Tuesday 24th September, Former President Mancham will address students of Hinckley Institute on the topic “Founding Father – The Creation of an Island Nation.” The Management of the Institute has suggested that Former President Mancham reflects personally on his experience of founding a Nation, later blindsided by a coup d’etat and his Nation building experiences in the Seychelles since that time.

In the afternoon, Mr Mancham will address a luncheon gathering of the community’s V.I.Ps at the Alta Club of Salt Lake City on “The Political and Economic Implications of China’s Growing Influence in Africa,” before attending an intimate dinner hosted by Ambassador Price.

On Tuesday 25th September, Mr Mancham will hold round table discussions with members of Salt Lake inter-faith round table which includes the Bahai faith, the LDS faith, Hindu, Quaker, Islamic and various Christian faith. And finally, Mr Mancham will attend a welcome reception at the famed Westminster College of Utah where he will deliver a major address on “American Leadership at a time of Global Crisis.”

Mr Mancham’s addresses will all be followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers and will be under full media coverage
