Is President Michel Really Snubbing Air Seychelles?

Regar reported last week that President Michel has recently been avoiding to fly the local airline, Air Seychelles, in his travels overseas because the plane is apparently not safe and the President may fear for his life and safety. It gave two examples to substantiate their claim. On his recent visit to the Beijing Olympic the President chose Qatar Airways via Doha instead of the shorter route through Singapore on Air Seychelles. The second example is puzzling most people because instead of going directly to South Africa from Seychelles on Air Seychelles a five hour flight, the President went all the way to the Gulf and back the same way flying over Seychelles to South Africa where he attended the SADC Head of State meeting before flying back the same way. This is a journey that could have taken place in only five hours each way, saving tons of tax payers’ money in the process….. It took the President twelve hours getting there and twelve coming back. Why?  This publication knew of this story. We chose not to comment on it as we had put it down to security measures. Can the President please explain? The people want to know! “Judge me by my action.” President James Alix Michel. April 2004.

The Wedding Anniversary

An elderly couple is having an elegant dinner to celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary.  The old man leans forward and says softly to his wife, ‘Dear, there’s something I must ask you.  It’s always bothered me that our tenth child never quite looked like the rest of our children.  Now, I want to assure you that these 75 years have been the most wonderful experience I could never ever hoped for, and your answer cannot take all that away.  But I must know – did he have a different father?’

The wife drops her head, unable to look her husband in the eye.  She pauses for a moment and then confesses.  ‘Yes.  Yes he did.’

The old man is shaken – the reality of what his wife is admitting hits him harder than he had expected.  With a tear in his eye he asks. ‘Who? Who was the father?’

Again the old woman drops her head, saying nothing at first as she tries to muster the courage to tell her husband the truth.  Then, finally, she says, ‘You.’
