BLOK MASIN OTOUR NOU LIKOU!

Recently a young man, Damandra Eulentin, was fished out of the sea, in the vicinity of the marine park, around Cerf Island. It is alleged that the young man had offended certain individuals operating within the State House security apparatus, a group commonly known locally as “bann spy”. According to a reliable source, two weeks before Damandra met with his untimely departure, he phoned his mother one evening to get her to unlock the door of her house because he wanted to go straight in when he reach there - he was being pursued by people whom he said was part of the State Security. The police were investigating the matter and it is now believed that the Attorney General’s office has stated that there is not enough evidence to prosecute the suspect or suspects.

Under the circumstances this might well be the case. But we all know exactly how the underworld operates in Seychelles and who are the people behind drugs, murder, corruption and fraud…..  Most of them are top people in this government and personnel within the State Security, who serve to protect their interest and obviously the favour is reciprocated through immunity from criminal prosecution. This is a situation which President Michel will have to look at seriously and decide if he wants it to continue under his presidency and to be part of his legacy.
