MANCHAM JOINS ELECTION CAMPAIGN
ENDORSES RAMKALAWAN
Former President, James Mancham joined SNP and DP leaders at Bel Ombre last Sunday to give his public blessing to the electoral alliance between the Democratic Party and the Seychelles National Party for the 2006 presidential contest. A capacity crowd resplendent in green and blue from all corners of Mahe descended on the quiet fishing village of Bel Ombre to hear the former President publicly endorse Wavel Ramkalawan – the SNP leader - as the joint presidential candidate.
The rally, one of the largest so far, was also addressed by DP leader Paul Chow, Vice-Presidential candidate Annette Georges and Bel Ombre’s SNP National Assembly Member Nicholas Prea. The keynote address was delivered by Presidential candidate Wavel Ramkalawan.
