Air Seychelles - Freddy Karkaria appointed new GM for business development

< 01-March-2016 Seychelles has appointed Freddy Karkaria as general manager - business development.

Mr Karkaria brings with him an extensive experience from working both in public and private sectors, in aviation, leisure and travel industries.

Roy Kinnear, chief executive of Air Seychelles, said: “The set of skills and experience Freddy brings with him will complement the existing Air Seychelles senior management team and contribute towards the successful realisation of strategic corporate goals ahead of us.

“As our business continues to grow, it will become more complex but that in itself will bring more opportunities across many areas of our business to grow revenue.  Freddy, like other members of the senior management team, will report directly to myself and will work alongside his senior colleagues and myself across a range of priorities and opportunities which I foresee as areas of growth in addition to day to day activities already overseen by our other managers and teams.”

Mr Karkaria said: “I am pleased to join the Air Seychelles team to support the next important stage of the national airline’s development.

“I believe that with the combination of the capabilities I gathered in the air transport industry, international relationship management and diplomacy, I can bring a fresh dimension to the business and ensure that the national airline continues to grow and create value for Seychelles.”
